The short version: we collect nothing. VR Video Player has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers of ours that ever see your data. Your videos and everything derived from them stay on your device unless you point the App at equipment of your own.
To render and (optionally) analyze video, the App processes frames entirely on your device: detecting the stereo layout and projection, keying out green-screen backgrounds, computing average scene colors, and — only when you enable it — detecting human body-pose landmarks in the video being played using Apple's on-device Vision framework. None of this involves any network service of ours, and none of it is stored: it exists only for the moment of playback.
The App never accesses your cameras or microphones, and never analyzes your surroundings — passthrough compositing is performed by visionOS itself.
The App can send playback information (companion "sidecar" file types and contents, timeline position, play/pause events — and the video's name only if you switch on "Send video name" for that endpoint) and derived scene data (zone colors, motion, body-pose landmarks and sampled clothing colors from the video) to network addresses you enter yourself — for example, a smart-lighting controller on your home network. These integrations:
Data sent to endpoints you configure is under your control; protect those services as you would any equipment on your network.
Nothing. The App contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and sends no telemetry to us. If you email support, we see whatever you choose to include in your message and use it only to help you.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Since the App collects nothing, changes would most likely describe new optional features, not new collection.
